just a point of interest! In early 1967 I ordered a new 1967 Marlboro Maroon Coupe 427/390, 4 speed, ac, 336 gears, side pipes, black interior.... made in St Louis. It was lost in shipping and found after 6 weeks sitting on a railroad car... paid $5600 for it. I traded my 1965 roadster 327/365 for it.... big mistake. The 67 was a hard luck vette.... hit 3 different times... finally traded it for a 1969 442.... another mistake! Yours is beautiful indeed but the paint looks to be more red than maroon as I remember mine. Currently on my 7th vette: 2014 Z51 3LT 7M convertible. Good luck with the sale of the 67.... you will miss her! CJ

That is a Great looking car, no way you can reproduce it for $88,000, also it looks to be the correct paint mix for Marlboro Maroon, Outstanding Car.

Beautiful car. I had a maroon/saddle '67 300HP/4 spd coupe when first married. I have always wanted a similar car with a 390 and air. Would love to have this one but sadly would require a new wife. Wait. Let me think about that for a minute.....Oh well. Good luck with the sale--Bob

providing pictures of what you have helps build interest in the car. Otherwise, a prospective buyer could make presumptions that the seller doesn't have any paperwork/pedigree.

While you're getting a picture of the car's paperwork, you might consider putting up some pix of the VIN tag, trim tag, and engine pad stamp - the 3 starting point pix.

Good luck with the sale of your handsome coupe.

I explained to him the other perspective - that a lot of prospective buyers don't care about things like how nice the car looks in pictures (fresh paint on a turd can look like a nice car), how many astronauts owned it prior, etc., if there's something hokey going on with the VIN tag, trim tag, engine pad stamp. I also explained that some prospective buyers see reluctance to share this kind of information can cause prospective buyers to think the seller has something to hide - which as you guys know is a fantastic sales prevention technique.

The seller told me that over the past 10 days or so he has been busy with company, hospital stay, etc.

As stated before, the seller told me that he is comfortable in thinking that his current prospective buyer will purchase the car and if the current prospective buyer doesn't purchase the car he'll get in touch with me. Unfortunately, now that I think back over our phone conversation I think it's possible that the seller thinks that I am interested in purchasing his car. While I am not completely uninterested in his car, at this point I am more interested in getting the seller to share (with those of us on the CF) more about his car like the VIN tag, trim tag, and engine pad stamp.
Or, you could actually respect this person’s privacy and believe him when he says he does not want to advertise any more personal information at this time. If you are not interested in buying his car, it’s not necessary to keep after him for public disclosures.

The area code listed is really close to my location. I could take a look. But the car is listed located in FL. I will be there next month. It sounds like the car will be gone by then though.

My understanding or recollection of the conversation with the seller was that the car was relocated from PA and is now in FL.
