Default No Flight Update

I'm way behind schedule for what I wanted to get done this winter, but thought I'd put up what little progress I've made and let out the long secret (because I couldn't make up my mind) plan for the paint scheme.

Greg - I've been following your project since I've been on the forum and can't wait to see her when she's done. Gotta love the Hilborn stacks.

I think the second hood is an excellent idea for shows and criuse-ins. A 65/66 BB hood would be perfect with the cutout in the middle of the 'bubble' and you could still use the chrome grills for accent. Plus, it would be correct for the car if you have it judged!

IMO, when it comes to cool engine setups: if you've got it, flaunt it!

Thanks for posting your progress.

And The Big "JOHN Z" Thumbs Up Too...

Love too see Great engineering ideas come together. I think it's great to have plenty of time to figure out you work and try different ideas without being under pressure to finish the project.

Working on my 502 conversion has been fun so far. I get to think about how I want to address a problem and work it out at my own pace. Very satisfying...!!

And of course Having all of you here to bounce ideas off of. And My personal Engineer Consultant ....Well ..we'll just call him Bill as he likes to remain behind the scenes.

Greg..Keep the updates coming....

Good stuff Greg.

I think the white with red color combo will look good. What are you going to do with the interior?

You need to come over for a beer and some BS'ing sometime and see it in person.

I decided to make the outside so it will look stock from a (very long) distance .

The interior has Kerky race seats in gray velour, the trans tunnel will be carbon fiber, so it will be a mix of gray and black. I'll probably put in carpet of some kind so the floor panels won't get too gouged up, though they are being made from Carbon as well.

The headliner is still a TBD. I'm still working (using the patterns from DZVette) on some arrangement that I like and that I can actually install with the clearance around the roll cage (that was supposed to be done a couple months ago too, but who's keeping track).
