Will the later tach drive distributors w/vac advance work for a '62 Corvette tach
I'm interested in adding a GM tach drive distributor with vacuum advance to a '62 corvette I just picked-up. The car currently has a dual point with mechanical advance.
Will any of the later Corvette tach drive distributors with vacuum advance work with a 1962 corvette tach? If not, is there a later tach that will fit and look OK in a '62 housing? Are any years better, or should certain years be avoided? Will a MSD tach Drive p/n 8572 work? My first choice would be to run a GM distributor, but I would consider the MSD as an option. TIA Wes

Be sure to select a vacuum advance that is properly matched to the engine's manifold vacuum characteristics. This has been discussed many times in the past.
