Decided to go for that '60's look again! - got a set of 15x7 TTD's from Newstalgia Wheel, and a set of Firestone 225/R70x15 blue lines from Diamond Back Classics. The wheels were 155. ea. ($24 per wheel cheaper than Summit!) and the shipping was free.
Had to add those 20 degree knock-off spinners to complete that vintage road racer look..............
What a great look. Great choice. I was also looking at some TTDs from Newstalgia for my '63. Did you have any rubbing issues with the 7" wheel and 225 tire choice, either on the frame or fenderwells? Also, I was looking at putting on some of the American Racing Carlisle tri-bar spinners (very pricey!), but nobody in the country has them in stock, and AR is very coy about when they'll be available. What brand spinners did you use? Price range? Bolt-on installation? Thanks.
WOW.... I like it... Pretty awesome looking....!!!!
Can I ask from whom did you buy the spinners....???
Cheers
Kenmo
Big Secret!
Actually, I bought 'em from Hot Rod Hardware. http://www.genuinehotrod.com
They're not American Racing's Carlisle Tri-Bars, but they look real good.

A little in the rear- I was bad and trimmed the lips a little, but I saved the pieces.
I think you'd be OK with 215's on the 15x7 TTD's. 225's on the 15x6 TTD's would definitely fit my car as built...........

As in my reply to Kenmo, I bought 'em from Hot Rod Hardware. They're not AR's, (who refuse to say when theirs will be available again) and they're pricey- but it's just the right look for me.

60's Look Wheels
Man, did that bring back memories! I painted a blue line on my skinny white wall tires before anyone offered them. I was running the American TT's on my '66 Blue convt which had a 67 front end on it at the time. I had Hooker sidemount headers instead of the stock pipes, but even had the tri bar spinners on the wheels. Thanks for the memories. Yours looks soooooo cool. Congrats.
