Were original windshields tinted in 1960? where is the logo on it? what does it look like? what windshield accessories should be replaced when replacing the windshield?
thanks everyone, great forum.

Factory ones were not tinted. Tinted wasn't offered. Tinted would look funny IMO. Logo is in the passenger side bottom rear corner. There's at least 1 or 2 companies offering windshields with the original logo and dating. Around $400 and change. Windshields w/o the logo and date coding are around $100 - $200 less.

You probably wouldn't want tinted. I only drive the car with the top down, so tinted isn't going to help in that situation. When the top's up, the weather is crummy, so I don't need tinted.

Search the archives for hints on replacing the windshield. You'll need the instructions in the ST-12.

The only item that should be replaced when doing the windshield is the dash pad. Of course you'll replace the gasketting and weatherstripping around the glass and frame.
