To at least see if the tank sticker is present pull the rubber seal down on the filler neck and look on the driver side of the tank with a flash light to see if the tank sticker is present. Also your block # is 351 which is at least the correct block for your car. Try and read the casting date which is underneath the block on the passenger side it should have a letter then two separate #s. Also as someone suggested have a local NCRS member look the car over to give you a better understanding of what you have, good luck
According to the trim tag, you can verify the car came with green interior and C07 Hardtop but must not have A31 Power Windows, A82 Headrests, A85 Shoulder Belts, M35 Auto Trans.
Other than that you need an expert to look for the tale tale signs (start with brake lines, etc.)
I have a '67 BB coupe that is less than 10 VIN numbers away from your car. The various dates your car has are almost identical to mine. The only significant difference is the body sequence. Mine from St. Louis is in the #2000 range. I have the L36 engine and my pad date is identical to yours. Based on those similarities, good chance it is an original BB in my opinion.
I have spent some time out in my cold garage looking at numbers on the Corvette. I am posting the Vin Pad as well as the Casting date and Casting Number. Good news or bad, what is your opinion on whether this is the original engine and not a restamp. Be honest, I can take it. Thanks, Al
Snap a picture of the drivers side fenderwell and rear end of the car with emphasis on half-shafts and presence of a sway bar.
Like someone else said. Lift the gas door, push the rubber neck to the side and shine a flashlight towards the drivers side top of the gas tank. You might be able to see, if the tank sticker is on there. Then you could pay a local garage to drop the tank for you.
427/390 had a 6000 tach red line and 60 oil pressure gauge. the 427/400 had a 6000 tach red line and 60 oil pressure gauge as well. the 427/430 and 427/435 had a tach red ine of 6500 and a 80 oil pressure gauge

I watched this car on Ebay. I think you bought yourself a real car, at a very good price. This looks like an original stamp to me. If it is isn't, it is without question the best 400 hp restamp I have ever seen. Emaiil me and I will explain.

Am I violating my New Year's resolution if I say I agree with Jim as to the great looking car and nothing obviously funny about the pad stamp?
