as you may or may not know i bought a 75 vette and tore it apart. pulled the body off and am in the process of backhalving the frame with a ford 9 inch rear. i built a 489 CI / 871 SC BBC for it . I also have a spare front clip from my 65. i was looking at all this stuff the other day and was wondering if it is possible to graft the front end and a back section of a C2 onto the middle or birdcage portion of the C3. anyone know of this ever being done. , what was involved. i don't know for sure if i want to do this but i was staring at the stuff in the garage drinking some beer and you know how that goes. any leads to something similier would be appreciated.
I am betting it can be done as we saw that C2 with the C3 modification a little bit ago on this very forum.
The front end of the C3 frame will have to be modified in the #1 body mount area and the rails will need to be lengthened about an inch and a half for the radiator support from a C2.
Front wheels are in the same place as always so that's not a problem.
