Though this might be of interest to some you, at the drags yesterday saw the meanest
looking Corvette from any year. The guy ran 9.44 ET at 140MPH

Corvettes just look fast. I wonder what the deal is with the blacked out bumpers? Fiberglass or plastic? 61 front end with 58-60 tail. I saw one at our beach area cruise this spring that was raced out but did not get to see it up close. If you are going to have a race car that is a  one!

Opps let me edit that statment. Those are crossed flags on the side. It might just be a later year grill to lighten the car. :bb

I know I should know more about C1 vettes, but I've spent all my time learning about C2s. So forgive my stupidity, but I would think this car is probably a '59 given the guy's choice of car number on his windshield :D :D

I love the gas lid door he put on the front of the car to use as a filler for his fuel tank!!! Looks like a tank hiding behind the grille to me, anyway. Dad and I were thinking about doing something like this to an old "crasher" or unrestorable derelict car, but they are too expensive!! Brian
