Steering Column Question
The turn signals on my 1965 non-tele column will not cancel. Does the entire column need to be removed in order to replace the cancelling cam mechanism? Also, what is considered the correct paint to spray on some column nicks and scratches? Thanks for all previous reponses. Overall, the column seems to be in good shape, I don't know how original it is. Are there any tests to determine if the bearings are in good shape without removal?

The canceling mechanism can be installed without removing the column.
Just remove the steering wheel and the hub, which will require a puller.
Column can be painted with John Deer Blitz Black PT107 or Krylon semi-flat assuming that your interior is black.
