Default Casting Numbers

Misfit -
The casting numbers you listed are as follows:

Block #3789935: 1961 (very late)

Head #3774692: All 1960, 1961 - 230, 245 & 270 HP

Intake #3739653: Aluminum: 1957 - 245 & 270 HP, 1958-1961 on dual 4bbl

Trans #3885010: Sorry, but I'm coming up empty on this number.
There are codes stamped on the transmission that will shed light on it.

The source for the above is the NCRS 1953-1972 Corvette Specification Guide.

Good Luck!

Default M21

I think your trans # 3885010 is a M21 close ratio out of a 1967 vette.

There's no way to tell the trans ratios from the main case casting number - all varieties (M20/21/22) used the same main case (although the M22 case was drilled/tapped with a drain plug); the 5010 case was used in '66 and '67.
