Actually, I thought it was another name...He bought some parts from me years ago. No problem transaction, he was the high bidder, sent me a cashiers check and I never heard back from him. He paid over my reserve, I guess we both wound up happy.
Wonder what the story is behind the no vin or body tag ? If it was removed from a optioned big block car where could have it gone to be in a better circumstance ? If this car was stolen don't you think re registering it in another state would push the panic button ? The 67 doesn't look wrecked or beyond repair so there must be a logical reason. My luck... 50k later someone would have the proper ownership papers and be driving away with the laws blessing. Too much investment for lack of clear cut ownership. Just my 2 cents.
Notice the engine and trans are extra cost options.
I've noticed that this seller has had three or four project cars listed in the past year. I think he shuffels parts from one to another and keeps some items for his 'baby'. Maybe thats' where the trim tag has gone.
Every hobby has this sort. Some have to come out cash ahead on their hobby and ethics be d@()ed. Ran into the same type collecting classic toy trains and guns (now there's a real snake pit).
I'm sure the trim tag was sold in a separate auction.
That's the touble with project cars on Ebay. Typically they've been picked clean of anything that comes off and sells easily on Ebay and then the carcass is sold as a "project car".
Then the buyer of the car has to turn around and try to find and repurchase all the missing items. Those little parts probably cost as much as an entire car.
I wouldn't buy a car from a flipper. You just don't know where their hands have been.
