Default 1958 Date Codes Help!!!!

I am now ready to start buying engine parts for my 1958. I would like to buy parts to NCRS rules. My car is number 5951 and should have been built the end of the first week in April I think. Can anyone confirm this and how many days prior to the build date can parts be dated. My car is going to be a 245 or 270 car. I have most of the casting numbers in order but the dates are holding me up. If you could, please give me your source of information to confirm these dates. If anyone is interested, my car was a drag car for over twenty years with mild abuse. Other than the drive train gone its still very intact and restoreable. It had a three point roll bar welded to the frame and the rear bumpers taken off. The roll bar is gone and bumpers are back on and its a clean street car. Its all there except the drive train is wrong. I have a NCRS spec guide but I cant find anything about prior dates of the build date of the car. Thank You in advance for any help you can give me. Steve

Generaly 6 months prior to build is acceptable, but closer the better up to a couple of weeks. Early April 58 would be correct per NCRS pocket guide.
