I just intsalled a Steeroids set up on the 65. I am still in the adjustment stage but it is completly intalled as a manual rack. I have a 6 qt oil pan and made a couple of 3/16" spacers, put them under the rack mounts and it clears the "big" pan fine. My problem is the tie rod inner mount bolt heads hit the lower control arms. Happens on both sides when turned to that side. Is this normal? I wouldn't think so.
I tried a search on this topic without success. Someone on this forum knows the answer to this problem. Let's move this up again and try for a response.

Thanks for the bump Dave.
I had a couple responses on the C3 side. I think there are more folks with experience on modifieds over there.
Hold on one minute Pics coming. Mark. Sixty4. I can't find the pic I wanted to show. Is the rack located far enough back? It was close when the unit was mounted on the car. I did have the VBP control arms on the car when the rack was mounted.

Thanks Mark.
I have stock lower control arms. I think they are wider than the VBP ones. I had to shim the rack 3/16" to clear the oil pan. That moved it slightly forward and slightly down. I am going to take the shims out and see how it fits. I may also remove the lock washers from the inner rod end bolts. The bolts have red Loctite on them so the lock washers seem un-necessary to me.
