Default Windscreen opening specs for C2 Coupe

I have a '64 body that has been cut through the windscreen posts. Does anybody have the specs of the opening so that we might piece this thing back together correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Just my 2 cents, would measuring the windshield itself help?

What measurements do you need?

Try this. I do not know how to interpret the measurements.

Thanks for trying guys.
6coupe4, the windscreen measurement in itself is probably not going to help, I don't think, not accurate enough I reckon.

Paul67, thanks for the info you sent, I'll study it some more, but like you I having trouble making heads or tails out of it.
I just figured someone out there would have copies of old original blueprints or similar that give the windscreen opening measurements.

I don't know whether this thing I have has been cut through with a hacksaw or grinding blade, need to get it right thou.
Here in Australia its not just a case of wandering down to the local Chevvy or Corvette dealer, cos there ain't any.

Thanks for trying fellas
Anybody else?

I'm restoring a '64 convertible and the windshield frame is currently unencumbered. If you can suggest which way to take measurements I'd be happy to try.

Thanks Gordon,
I'm really needing the height of the windscreen posts from any part that can offer an accurate measurement.
I haven't yet got my body ( still awaiting shipment in the US ), so I can't suggest any particular place.

The glass (and the windshield frame opening) is identical on all '63-'67 cars, both coupe and convertible; someone must have one out there without the glass in it that could provide some measurements?

How about getting a windshield, setting it in the frame and go from there. Just a thought

Ross, I took some basic measurements last night:

On the vertical posts
-the distance from the lower seam to the upper seam is 15"
-the distance from the lower seam to the top of the vertical post is 18.5"
-measuring from the inside of the car to the outer edges, the distance from the upper LH seam to the upper RH seam is 41.5"

Measuring from the center of the frame from the outside
-the distance from the lower windshield lip to the upper windshield lip is 22.5"
-the distance from the lower wiindshield lip to the top of the frame is 23.5"

Send me a PM or email if you ned more information.

Gordon

Its a guts move to set it up without a template, why not make a mold of a windshield from cardboard/posterboard.

Many thanks for your efforts Gordon, I reckon you have provided enough info to get me to get me on my way, appreciate that.
Yes I was going to use a cardboard mockup of a windscreen to assist with this, but I needed these measurements as a check and starting point.

Thanks a lot for all your help guys.

Just for your guys information, this project I'm embarking on involves putting a modified C2 coupe body ontop of a '03 C5 Z06 platform.
