My primary career is within the Fragrance Industry, I'm fortunate enough to own a small percentage of the company.

One a part-time basis I consult for an Investment Research Firm, while also holding a license to sell real estate. The wife has been an agent for a couple years & recently secured a full time gig, which means that I must commit more time to the real estate sector.

Other than spending 50+ hours working during the week, I am an avid fitness enthusiast; frequently playing racquetball & squash.

I've had our master bedroom & bathroom in "limbo" since we purchased the house in 2005, its slowly coming along.

I have been into motorcycling since the early 90's, but due to the above I haven't removed my Harley from storage this year. Besides the 65 BB I have a M/B convertible which is a true pleasure to own & drive.
I have yet to enjoy the Vette since working out all the mechanical bugs has gotten out of control.

Recently spent a week in the South of France for a business function, observed how the "weathy" live.

Have no plans for retirement, have a difficult time comprehending the term.

I have way too many hobbies- I'm also into coin collecting, old arcade games, collecting antiques, music, motorcycles, the list goes on. And in my "spare time", I'm going for my Master's in Information Systems, and take care of our 2 year old daughter- and then there's the 2 websites that I built which are like 2 other children. And did I mention our 2 dogs?

I've been avoiding going out to work on Project '59 much for fear of being served papers..

Am active in Garden Railroading and have built one of the most spectacular layouts that has graced many newspapers and even magazine. I design and build my own electronic circuitry for automatic operation of the trains.

WORK..... and have been in grad school at the same time almost continuously since 2000. Did an MS and now finishing up an MBA and am ready to reclaim my weekends from the books and group projects. I have an 81 year old house in need of constant TLC and I have a weakness for antiques which I always seem to buy with grand plans and good intentions - but never have the time to touch. Most importantly, I have a 9 month old son and future midyear lover who is absolutely a joy to be around.

Civil War Reenactor - I have slept on many of the original battlefields and reenacted the original battle's. Olustee FL, Shiloh TN, Franklin TN, Chattanooga, Spring Hill TN, Resaca GA, Atlanta GA, Kennesaw GA, Tunnel Hill GA, Chickamauga GA, Jonesboro GA, Gettysburg PA, Antietam MD, Harpers Ferry WV, Bridgeport AL, Selma AL, probably a few that I can't remember. I love collecting antiques. Especially war related stuff.

I have sold off most of my WW2 collection. But here's a bit of what is left:

Grey Ghost, one of my ancestors was in the Civil War. He was in the Massachusetts 35th regiment and had his arm blow off by a rebel cannon ball at the Battle of Fredricksburg in 1862. I love to read about the Civil War as well.

Interesting. I have a fair-sized (approx 2 dozen) collection of WWII airspeed and RPM indicators, all used. ME 262, P-51, ME-109, JU-88, B-17, P-38, Hellcat, Hurricane, Spitfire, Zero, and other misc. planes.

I even have an RPM indicator that is supposed to have been removed from the Battleship Missouri when it was refurbished in I think the 1980's.

I'm also into high end audio, attending the Oregon Symphony concerts, going to lots of Seattle Mariners baseball games (we're season ticket holders!), and seeing our nine grandkids as often as possible.

Nice work, Toddalin...very cool.

Vettes are actually my 'other interest'. Playing guitar, songwriting, and home recording are my true passions. Also enjoy buying/selling acoustic guitars. If there was a way to make a decent living buying and selling guitars....that would be my dream job. Working on my 63 is a nice diversion from the daily grind.

Neat topic.

Retired a year ago, and now don't know how I found time for work!

Interests:

Corvettes in particular, sports and classic cars in general. Would like to get back into road racing soon.

Golf. Working on getting to single digit index this year.

Aviation. Hope to finish flight instructor cert this year, so I can share this passion with some others.

Vintage radio. When the weather here in Michigan is cold enough to keep me out of the garage. This one may die quietly though, since we can escape to warmer climates now.

Trophy Blue - Be sure to read, Co.Aytch. by Sam Watkins, if you haven't done so yet. Elijah Hunt Rodes, also gave a first person account on the Union side. I think the CW is the most written about subject ever ?

62Jeff - That is a cool collection ! The one in my pictures is an unused airspeed indicator from a P-51. I'm sure it was also used in a few other aircraft. 0-700 mph I doubt any plane of that era could have survived speeds above 400 ?

In order of things that I spend my "free" time on, aside from driving and wrenching on the 65:

Sarah (4) and Sam (6) - and the understanding and very beautiful wife (age withheld upon request)

Working out at the gym - lifetime gym-rat.

Taking the boat (21' Sea Ray) out for some family fun on the water (tubing, etc.)

Riding the motorcycle, currently an 06 ZX10R with a few performance mods (did 200 twisty miles yesterday with some like-minded pals )

Working on the latest construction project at the house (currently finishing build out of 1500 sf of basement space, just a few more spots of trim work and painting left Then, a [massive] new garage project (plans going before P&Z next month).

Canoeing and fishing on the lake behind my house.

Life is good. Enjoy it while you are able.

I used to collect Civil War stuff too! Unfortunately, I sold off the entire collection about two years ago. Made enough to put kids through college, pay off credit card debts and pay cash for my 67 vert. I miss the collection a great deal, but quickly forget about it when I'm driving down the road in my vette.

I am still way too young to retire (47) and work as a biomedical research scientist (Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cell Biology, Univ of Cincinnati) at Columbus (Ohio) Children's Hospital and teach first year medical students at The Ohio State University Medical School. Great work helping great kids.

I also love yard work, and I spend many an evening or weekend working on some part of my yard! I guess all that "brain work" makes me restless for a little manual labor in the yard!!

Wow !!! PM or email with some of the things that were in the collection or photo's. I love the stuff ! I think prices have stabilized on it the last couple of years. For many years you could buy cast "I's" for $20.00. They hit $125.00 a couple of years ago and have stayed there. Also Confed. belt buckles have stayed within there past price ranges. If I won the lottery.....I would have me one heck of a collection I watched the auction of Jeb Stuarts personal battle flag at N'ville last Dec. One active bidder in the audience against a phone bidder - phone bidder won it at $800,000.
