Compression vs octane
you can't just assume your compression is 10 or 11 to one based on what the piston mfgr states it will be with your stock 64 cc heads... most were not 64 cc.
mine had been cut and cced out between 59 and 60.4 between all 8 chambers on my original heads.. needless to say, they had been cut quite a bit..
also, we put new valves in mine and when they did the valve job, the valves sat up nice and high.. (meaning less combustion chamber)
i maintain that the LT1 and 30-30 cam really like to have higher compression. I belive this is why so many people have had bad experiances with them.
You can't expect the LT1 or 30-30 to run properly with 9.5 to one compression.
