How is the interior dash (I think it is referred to as the eyebrow) riveted to the door jamb? I see the heads of the rivets when I open the door but have felt around the back and cant see where the other side is? Mabye this will be apparent once I pull the body off (hopefully this weekend).

I originally was going to mask and dye in place but it appears the cost of this thing is only $125. Since I am replacing everything else would hate to have a "re-painted" dash.

There are five 3/16" pop-rivets on each side; to remove the main dash, remove the bolts across the top (under the lower windshield garnish molding), drill out all ten pop-rivets at the ends, break the bond at the bottom center to the floor below the radio opening, and the entire main dash will pull right out.

Does the windshield have to be removed to get the dash pads out? I was told it does but I think I could do it without.

I did not have to remove the windshield or the dash to get the dash pads out of my 65.

If you are going to remove the eyebrow, remove the dash pads after the eyebrow is out of the car. This should save you much time and cursing. Jerry

The "eyebrows" are the curved pads - "eyebrow pads"; remove them AFTER removing the dash panel.
