Well some SOB keyed my car. It was sitting in the back of a parking lot. They went the full length of the car. Im so pissed right now. I dont know if I should report this to my insurance or try to fix it myself. A$$holes, who keys a C1? seriously. I didnt **** anyone off driving. I can't think why they would key the car.
That is unbelievable.
WHAT could have prompted them, maybe jealousy, but hey take a photo.
I think you need to put a reward out there for info and get ready to smack someon around.
I am sorry.
Because they are A-HOLES....I would be happy to fly up there and stomp a foot up their A$$ when you find them. I got in a yelling match with an old guy at Starbucks this weekend when he dinged my 65 with his cart......I'll tell you it was all I could do not to beat the holy living tar out of the guy. His was just a lack of appreciation for anyone elses things but when it is done out of being a shear A-HOLE then they should bring back the public hangings!!
That's brutal... I feel for you! I think twice before leaving my car unattended. There are plenty of idiots out there who lack any class and do this type of thing out of spite because they can't afford to have as nice of a car as you!
Sorry to hear about the damage I don't understand why others find the need to touch other peoples property. As they said in Pulp Fiction, you don't F%#@ with another man's vehicle....

I know just how you feel ,in 05 driving home from a NCRS national meet and getting a top flight we stopped off for dinner at night , then down the road getting gas my wife said come and look at our fender , some one keyed it writing the word GAY . What can I say after driving it for over 30 years this was the first damage we ever had with the 55 Corvette but we had it fixed and still plan on driving it!

I had some a hole do that to the first car I restored. I was 17 and I had spent a year putting my 70 Monte Carlo together. I had just painted and wet sanded, didn't even get it rubbed out and it was keyed at the local pool hall. Then about a year later one of my girl friends neighbor's poured a bucket of white latex on it. Luckily I got back to her house and saw it at 3:00 Am, washed it until day light.
That's the risk you take when you own something that's Kool, there's always someone that's willing to f*** it up for you.
Have you ever wondered why these A-HOLES never get caught? Are they invisible? I would love to catch one doing the key thing,, I think that even if the Vette wasn't mine, I would still shove my boot up his rectum!

Probably some kids. They think it's funny to do stuff like that these days. I was at fairly nice restaurant the other day having lunch. I was next to a table of five or six high school age kids and I couldn't help but overhear their conversation. In about twenty minutes the topics they discussed included cheating on tests, stealing other kids' cellphones, and torturing animals. I really felt like beating the $hit out of one or two of them just for the hell of it. Just the society we live it today.
psychologicaly, they are jealous and losers. they think it was given to you, or you won it or inherited it and don't deserve it because they don't have one, and if they don't have one, you didn't earn it because they didn't/can't earn it.
I will guarantee you whoever did it drives a real POS with trash(soft drink cans, McDonalds wrappers) piled a foot high in the footwells.
How do I know this? I knew people that did things like this back when i was in high school and college, they never made it, had attitude problems, couldn't keep a job, made poor personal decisions and blamed everyone but them selves for their ****ty situation in life.
Or, just another reason I don't ever leave my car out of my sight.
A friend of mine had a real 1970 396 375hp Nova SS. He was on his way home from a car show and stopped at a store to pick up his wife a bottle of perfume for her birthday. He was only in the store about 15 minutes. When he came out,no more King Kong Nova. Never saw the car again. With the world we live in today, you just can't let your car out of your sight.
I think these people are invisible. Just once I want to see where someone came out and caught someone keying their car and beat the living **** out of them. In my version the cops on scene take the guy out back and give him a few smacks also.
That sucks, I like to go to car shows but what burns me up is the kids on bikes , skateboards and scooters flying around. If not that, its the baby strollers. I just cringe sometimes when they get close. What do you do if they hit it? Do they have the funds to fix it? Can you make a 10yo kid pay? I dont want my car in a platic bubble but I sure dont want someone scratching it for no reason except jealousy or stupidity. Sorry about your scratch but believe in Karma.
If you were in a parking lot with security cameras, you need to report it to the police and the store/company where the car was parked. A friend had a similar situation recently and the police used the video to get a license number of the assailants car as he left the lot. This guy keyed both sides of my friends new Jeep just for fun. His parent's got to pay for a paint job!
When I owned a 1968 Corvette convertible while living in Ohio. I was working out at my College Alumni. I came out and someone had spit on my car.
I came out a month later somebody decided to key my car...
My 1963 Corvette ragtop I own now. I went to the local Sonics for a Car show and a lady and her husband was looking at my Corvette. She was closer to my car than i liked...I was talking to a friend of mine.
It looks like a ring might have scratched my car in the quarter panel...Needless to say I was "Unhappy" But, I make sure Im closer to the my Corvette now when I go to any Carshow
I figure its just a accident...I dont think it was done in anger..Still it sucks
Definitely go and make out a police report on it today. Chances are you weren't the only car that suffered damage in the lot and most places today do have surveilance cameras in their parking lots. The tapes are often reused and recorded over after a day or two so you need to report it NOW. If you decide to report it to your insurance at a later date you have the police report to back up the claim. Catching the bast@#ds that did the damage would be worth your time and effort!! Sorry to hear it happened and can imagine how sick you are about it!!
From: The problem is all inside your head she said to me.
Oh my so sorry about this. I know I'd go nuts on someone if I ever caught them doing such a thing. I take my car everywhere with little concern for such things. I've had motorcycles, cars stolen. Had the sticker stolen from the Vette tag. Had a gallon of varnish dumped on a white mustang I used to own. **** happens, they will get there's in the end. I truly believe this. I'm not wreckless with where I take mine, I just don't over stress on it. I have enough stress already.
