The bellhousing will fit either a t-10 or a Muncie.

But make sure the numbers match on it also. I don't know what the correct numbers are (I just know what it looks like, sorry). It will be cast iron.

If these guys get me another engine then all it really needs is to be the correct casting and the engine stamp will be correct if it is Nov. or Dec. and ends with CQ (for manual)???
All info I find says there is nothing in the engine stamp that has anything to do with Vin # correct??

VIN numbers on blocks didn't start until 1962.

That's what I thought but I wanted to hear it from someone that knew more than me.
Thanks very much.
A guy gave me a price for a correct T10 trans. but he was talking like $5000 or more. I wanted to ask him what he was smokin'. Don't believe I need one quite that bad.
