Default Trailing Arm Shim Pic needed.

Does anyone have a pic of the way you setup the slotted TA shims and drilled the hole thru the frame for the cotter pin? I did a quick search in the section, but didn't see any pics with any of the threads.

I was hoping to check out a pic, or two, before attacking my frame with the drill.

When I get home tonight I will post a couple if nobody does before that.

All I did was insert the bolt thru the holes, took the slotted shims and slide them over the bolt on the outside of the frame on both sides, mark the hole for the cotter pins and drilled it with a bit slight bigger then the cotter pins. Make sure you have on both shims at the same angle so the holes line up. I used a protract at the top of the bolt hole to make sure the marks for the cotter pin were at the same angle. The holes in the shims are alot larger then the cotter pins so you could be off quite a bit and it would still work.

Quite easy really.

I always say I am going to do that but never do. Knock on wood but mine are sitting just fine without a cotter pin for a couple of years now.

Rob, I don't think I have a good one but this is the one that I do have with me right now. I'm sure the John has one. If you look at the bottom of the trailing arm pocket you can see the head of the cotter pin.

This one might be better..

Paul, thanks for posting that too. That's a really good shot of the installation.
