Replacing the exhaust manifolds with tight tuck headers. 1966/327
Does somebody make an aftermarket lower bracket for the alternator that is used with these pipes? (Currently connects to the block and exhaust manifold.) Does somebody make it in chrome? How is it installed? (pics/)
I have one that I bought off Ebay a couple of years ago. It's chrome and I don't know who made it but I'm sure it's a very common item.
The one I have appears to bolt on to the water pump somehow or another and makes use of the threaded holes on the lower front of the block. It places the alternator down low, kind of like where a power steering pump would go.
I might also mention that it looks like this can be mounted on either side for convenience. My intention is to move the alternator down and put an AC compressor where the alternator currently sits.

Looks like it's made by Mr. Gasket #G125179
