John,
Very nice! I got this. NCRS aside, it would be great to have one of these for my 1967. But many $$$$s.
I've built that one. I need to replace one fuel line I broke, and for some reason I got a V6 set of plug wires instead of the V8. With the shielding on it's impossible to tell, though. I have an LT-1 that sits next to it. There's a big-block kit that I'm going to get sometime to sit alongside those to, and maybe the Ford 427 side-oiler.
By the way, do you have to do one of the other Petty Experiences prior to doing the 120 lapper? Rob
That was 8 years ago, and their formats have changed several times since then, and it depends which track you go to. Check their website and it should have all the details.
My only Corvette-related Christmas present was a copy of the new book "Corvette Dynasty". My wife found this at our local Costco. I think this book has been talked about in a couple of posts, but the thing that is cool about it is that it comes with some interesting extra tidbits:
- a CD of recorded Corvette sounds
- various reprinted sales brochures
- misc. reprinted documents like a letter from Zora A-D to GM management, a map of the show floor from one of the early 50's Motorama shows, etc.
Plus, at least some of the photos are ones that were new to me, and not all the same photos that seem to be in every Corvette book.
