Default Help needed de-coding block #'s

The engine is not original as my dad had it replaced in '76 when he was going to rebuild it and the cylinder walls were deemed too thin. (who knew that matching numbers were important back then?) I wondered what info can be taken from the replacement engine. It's not a corvette engine and my dad thought it might actually be from a truck! So we are curious as to where this engine came from. I noted the following numbers

front left pad: T0I04MK The "I" might be a "1"
cast # 3903352

"L 29 6" on top of where bell housing bolt would thread into
also "CONV1" is cast on opposite side

Can anyone crunch these numbers?

Thanks

"MK" was a '67 Camaro L-30 (327/275hp 4-barrel); yours was cast at Tonawanda on December 29, 1966, and assembled there on January 4, 1967.

Thanks for the decode! Wow thats only a month before the final assmebly of the car (feb 10 1967). On the front pad, there is no VIN number stamp, only "T0104MK", is that unusual?

Very unusual.

The motors for corvettes were assembled in Flint not Tonawanda.

Nope, not unusual - only the SS (L48), Z/28, and 396BB's had VIN stamps on the block in '67 Camaros. The engine assembly date you have is a coincidence - Tonawanda small-blocks weren't used in Corvettes.
