Default vette value

I have a 1965,327-300. It's had a frame off restoration and is a nice driver. Not original color, but otherwise numbers matching vehicle. I am considering it for sale, but don't really know where to start. What's it worth?

$39,999 we're guessing here without pictures and further information...

I'll go with $30,000 to $70,000

What options are on it?
Coupe or Convertible
REAL knock off wheels (not reproduction)
A/C
Sidepipes
Power steering
Power brakes
Power windows
Teak wheel
4spd or Powerglide

Here's one source of insight

not many options. It's a convertible, and a 4 speed, but a basic vehicle otherwise. I also have the hard top. I've owned it for almost 5 years, and have just not had the time to spend with it. Anyone know what the current market is like for vette sales?

To what standard was the frame-off restoration performed?

1) NCRS factory correct?
2) Factory correct but higher quality finishes on the paint/chrome
3) Tore everything apart, cleaned it and painted it but many parts are aftermarket speed parts but at least they are new
4) Tore it all apart and painted it all flat black with 2 cases of Rustoleum?

#1 and #2 will reap the higher values.

I'd guess that the market for convertibles is a little softer this time of the year

It is worth any where from $25K to $45K probably. If it is in good shape with original engine , you can easily get $35K

good questions. I'd say it's somewhere between 2 and 3, based on the personal preference of the restorer (from whom I bought the car). Not everything in the car is 100% restored, but the body was removed from the frame and all components refinished. The engine has not been overhauled by any means, but runs well and has the usual rear seal drip. Not too much chrome in engine compartment. Top in decent condition, and fun to drive! I was actually offered 35k for it about two years ago, but could not part at the time. I'm beginning to seriously reconsider at this point.

Sounds like a car that's been nicely refinished as opposed to restored.

What color is it? If it's baby puke yellow, or resale red, you'll have wildly different values from that too.

Any body modifications such as fender flares, incorrect hood, etc?

Oh - I'm asking these questions to help get your data into this thread. I'm not qualified to give an estimated value on it, but perhaps someone who sees the answers to these questions is.

Its original color was white. It's now trophy blue (66 color) with black interior. It's a gorgeous color! No body modification at all, simply original components. I'd insert an image, but I'm not quite sure how to do it.

Get some pics posted and put it up for sale right here on the forum. I would think you could get mid-thirties to mid-forties depending on the condition and the originality. You can also list it on numerous websites like american dream cars, craigslist, etc. The economy is slowing down but the people buying these cars are more recession resistant than your average joe. Good luck.
