Default Thank You

First, let me thank all of you here on the CorvetteForum for the amazing outpouring of thoughts, offers for help, and well wishes. I am simply amazed at the level of support I have received from everyone here and the kind and thoughtful notes during this time.

The surgery appears to have been a success, and I have regained all feeling and use of my right arm. My neck and throat feels like it's been through a butcher shop, but the meds are giving me a good damper on the pain... Can't wait to be able to have my first Martini and a good beer again, though..

Thank you again to all of you here for the unbelievable outpouring of support - you guys just blow me away, and I truly appreciate every comment and note received.

Lars,
Great to hear that everything went perfectly and you are well on your way back to normal. If you are thinking about a martini and a beer already, you are getting better quick.

Just came across this post. Lars glad to hear the operation was a success and you are on the mend. You are a class act and your talent is needed and appreciated in the Corvette community. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

(and the carburetor I took off months ago and forgot to send to you can wait until your ready to go. No one else will get to touch it. )

It sounds as if the medical part went fine, so now PAY ATTENTION TO THE DOCTORS AND HEAL PROPERLY. Don't start in with the full-time wrenching until your body is full-time healthy. Hope the docs prescribe beer as part of your rehab!

Great news LARS, we knew you would be back. Now make sure you convalesce properly. As my wife says; "just because you are home from the hospital in a day, does not mean you are healed in a day". Take good care of your self and relax as much as you can.

Lars glad to hear your surgery went well. Once you can raise a beer and a martini the carbs will be soon to follow

Great news Lars!! Since it was a neck injury you need to be very careful not to re-injure yourself......this means;

1. No heavy beer mugs (unless you use both hands)

2. Use a straw to drink your beer (prevent you from tilting your head too far back and will help get you buzzed faster.)

3. You must stare at a picture of Hillary Clinton for 10 min in the morning to temporarily blind yourself to prevent turning your head too fast looking at pretty girls (if that dosage is not strong enough move up to Rosie).

4. No banging gears in the Corvette (unless you duct tape your head to the headrest first)

Feel free to add to the list gents....................

Get well soon!!!!
