are you going to reproduce the whole body? i can't imagine there are very many wayward 53-55 bodies available.
Jay Peterson has been selling 4-5 bodies a year by himself. He strips all the parts off and then sells the bodies mostly with no tag or title, but occasionally he does sell them with the titles. They make excellent canidates for this type of senerio. There is also a guy in Washington who makes an exact replica of the 53-55 body and will even hand lay it.
Mike see you in Carlisle, car is coming along very nicely.
Roger I don't know if I am going to make Carlisle or know. Right now I am looking at almost a $1000.00 just in gas out and back. That is not counting room, food, booth space and also after dinner drinks. I will have to see how I do at Bloomington Gold before I decide about Carlisle.
Thanks for the compliments, it has came a long way since even the pictures I've posted. We are making stainless for it now on the outside trim and trying to figure out the windows.
It has raised a few eyebrows in the old neighborhood, most think I'm nut's and they are probably right. Then they ask about the car....................
Roger, You need to contact the NCM and see about having it on display next year for the Corvette Caravan Labor Day Weekend 2009, 15th Anniversary of the NCM. That would look good on the turn table up front for all to see.
I'll put some more pictures up, after Carlisle I'm going to restore the car. I have been pretty happy with the way it turned out. Next year at Carlisle I hope to have it completely restored.
