C-2 Paint Code

Find a car with a paint job in bad condition in any color, then in my opinion it doesn't matter what color is on the car, you'll be repainting anyway and can choose to go with the original color (or not).
Find a car with a really nice paint job that needs nothing but to be waxed and cared for: The majority of corvette buyers will believe, or have been told, that the color must be correct in order to offer the most $$ for the car, so if the color is not correct for the car they'll try to get the car for much less, after griping about color mis-matches.
If you find a solid car you like, in a color you like and the paint doesn't need to be redone, then figure out whether or not the car is within your price point and move forward. These cars aren't for sale in every color on every corner, when you find a nice one I think you should grab it before you invest 18-24 more months finding another one that: has the options you want, is close to home, is solid, etc.

A VERY good dealer with an excellent reputation. Many people I know have bought cars from Joe Conte and all have been pleased with their experience there.
Joe is honest about his cars and will tell you the "bad' to go along with the 'good" on the cars and his pricing is fair and reasonable for the cars, he doesn't gouge you like many dealers try to do.
I've been there a few times while I was looking for a car and while he didn't happen to have what I was looking for, based on other's experiences buying from him and what I experienced while shopping I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Joe if he had what I was looking for.
