Friend just bought a engine out of a 64 boat,but the engine is a 59 #519 283 w/a build date of E99,and the front pad has 6422.The intake is 3746829 w/a casting of D79 w/a 27-9 Rochester,and the heads are 3774884?,or 3774684 65 heads.
Any,and all help would be greatly appreciated.....

Howdy.
What is your question? I probably can't answer it, but once the forum knows what it is, you'll be on good shape with informed responses..
Thanks....What is the #6422 on the front pad? What was this engine from? That's what I was after.
If all it has stamped on the front pad is 6422, that's probably a rebuilder's code, stamped after decking the block during a rebuild. No way to tell what it came out of without the original engine plant stamp.

That might make some sense there....the engine supposedly came out of a State of Illinois boat, and this could be their identification number? You know how they have state auctions, etc.,and everything is labeled/numbered.Hmmmmmmm....So....is it worth anything? He's getting ready to put it back in his jet boat w/some heads he got from me,and the tunnel ram, then dump the boat for 3500.00.
Thanks for your input.
