A while back I posted a request for the performance of Corrected caps (evens come out on the right, odds on the left). The response was that they worked fine, I'm down here for the winter where global warming doesn't seem to be a problem and am ready to do a complete re-wire of the ignition system but can't find a source for these caps. Got two questions:
Any negative feedback on this type of cap?
Where can I find one for a GMPP HEI dizzy?
You're going to have to fill me in to what a corrected cap is.. Or a link to the previous discussion.. I'm confused...
Dave
These are distributor caps that have the spark plug wire towers for 2-4-6-8 on one side of the cap and 1-3-5-7 on the other side. Thus, none of the spark plug wires have to cross over from one side of the cap to the other side. Of course, its not original, but a darn good idea.

That's pretty frickin cool!! I take it they have trace wired into the cap to move the terminals away.

What would be even better is a 'corrected' cap that the has the terminals arranged on each side.

there allready is one (or was one?) it,s a moroso correct-a-cap, the terminals come out horizontally on each side of the cap. i don,t know if they are still made, i bought mine off ebay a couple of years ago.
I found mine on Ebay a few years ago. They are called Crossfire caps. I was always jealous that the Ford guys could make their plug wire routing look cleaner than ours. It is a great idea, GM should have done it years ago. I think they make one for the points type distributor also.
Mechron, are you running this cap? I searched the Moroso site and nothing. Will continue looking. Is yours an HEI type cap and does it have the coil in cap or external coil?
When you run an HEI in a mid year it's tough to route all the wires away from the carb linkage and the wiper motor.
