I have a 66 bright blue coupe. I noticed the console, dash and lower inside window molding, along with the jack well is painted a darker blue. Almost a dark teal color. Anyone know what this color/code is?? Thanks. Tony

The dark blue is just blue (code 418,419) (Vinyl/leather), the light blue was called bright blue (code 414,415). That was it for blue interiors in 66'
This question came up about a week or so ago on the NCRS Technical Forum. One of the NCRS guys (Wayne Midkiff) posted a copy of the 1966 Chevrolet Interior Refinish Paint Codes. For Corvette, the blue colors listed are as follows: Paint is PPG DITZLER, although DuPont and RM codes are also shown in the table.
Hi Gloss (60):
Medium Bright Blue: DL- 13057
Laguna Blue: DIA - 13188
Lo Gloss (3):
Dark Bright Blue: DIA - 13228
Dark Blue: DL - 13241
Medium Bright Blue - DIA - 13071
Lo Gloss typically used on windshield lower garnish, radio speaker screen, instrument panel, heater outlet panel, jack storage well, glove box frame, directional signal housing, steering column hub, and column escutcheon.
Hi Gloss typically used on lock pillar cap, door upper, windshield side and upper moldings, halo panel, hardtop garnish moldings, and kick panel retainer.
I am not certain how the various hi gloss and low gloss codes are paired up by GM for your particular interior color, but I would guess that the Medium Bright Blue and Dark Bright Blue colors go together as a combination. That would leave Laguna Blue and Dark Blue as a (default) pairing. Hope this helps.
Correct me if I'm wrong (and I usually am) but IIRC the '66 blue (dark) interior had the center console painted portion black and possibly the seat belts ? I looked at a few that were done this way.

Nope. Those parts were blue originally with a blue interior.
My 66 has Dark Blue vinyl interior (418), and it is indeed dark. In fact when I first went to look at my car it was in a dimly lit shop, I thought the interior was black. I was thinking this will cost a fortune to change it back to original. Upon returning to further inspect the car, we rolled it outside and I was glad to see it's still dark blue. I like it, especially with the headrests. Outside is Laguna Blue, which I think matches well.
