That's what I'm talking about, I'm sick of people talking down cars at car gatherings because a car doesn't have a high dollar restoration or isn't how it was born. I bust my butt to get a mid-year then hear about the "wrong" wiper arms my car has along with other trash talk. That's what's pushing me off the deep end.

Christ, his car [and mine] are so far from stock they're lucky to have wipers, in fact mine only has the one.

Sorry, I ment I like your buddy's car, that's the look I'm after. My rant was at the guys who think the only good car is a perfect one.

first off you gotta quit calling it flat black, it's suede! i am planing on doing my 55 vert in two tone suede. it's too fun to put a real paint job on it! some of us can't/won't afford a high dollar restoration!

I think flat black is if it is done with a little class. Don't just go paint it flat and leave it at that. Do it right and you might just change your mind about doing a top of the class paint job on your frame off.

Geez, wouldn't you just be better to exercise? A double head transplant is not exactly a minor operation...

That looks really good, I might do that too - maybe it is a Canadian thing?

My '64 is in need of paint but I'm undecided on which way to go with it. But I wanted to go ahead and put my Sermersheims BB hood on the car, so we just shot the hood flat black as an interim. Now I'm in no hurry about the paint......

I would dig a C2 in suede black. Over in the C3 section there is an awesome looking '77 in suede.

The C3s haven't attained a status of holiness yet. You can still buy take-off parts from parted out cars. As a result, the C3 guys seem to have an easier attitude about their cars.

The 77 looks good. I think I could live without the numbers though. Looks like an overseas license plate.
