I found another plate that has possiblities, not sure I want to run a pure front motor plate and transfer all that vibration.

can you use a stock front mount, and weld a plate/strap on each side of it to bolt into teh 55 chevy mount holes in teh front of teh block?

Sure, if the mount is not rusted out at the water pump and if the holes are not elongated.

Jim- I'm with you, good lord you would hope so and it probably is in sections on the back.

Muncieman- You may also end up making new lower frame mounts to rest that on.

BTW, you may run into the problem I have with the lower bolts. Some blocks weren't drilled on the passenger side. The bosses are there but no holes!

I think it's from a 64 Nova or Chevy II.
