I just bought another 67, this one with undercar exhaust. I'm so used to the side pipes on my other car that the new one sounds like a sissy even though it's a BB. I do not want to put side pipes on the new one because it didn't have them originally. What would you recommend that looks fairly stock but makes a good, deep sound?
Check out the Corvette central N-11 exhaust. I put a complete system on my 327/300 and it sounds fantastic. Nice and quiet with a deep burble at idle and has a great throaty sound while on the accelerator.
Check out their website...they have audio clips that sound exactly like the exhaust does on my car...I can only imagine how nice it would sound on a 427.

If you like side pipes sound, you can get undercar chambered exhaust from Allens. Also, somebody posted a video with sound of a '67 with the N-11 exhaust. Me, I prefer the Magnaflow or Flowmaster type "rumble" vs "bark" of chambered side pipes.
I have a 1964 Red convertible 300HP 4-speed 3:55 gears
Came with glasspacks with brackets welded to frame! HELLO.
Went to new stock system front to back. Way too quiet.
Changed to Dynaflow mufflers and they had an annoying resonance at certain RPM's.
Bought undercar chambered system. Nice Sound! About the best.
Why didn't I leave them on? I heard that the internal diameter was necked down to 1 1/4 inches. Couldn't have anything restricting power.
Part of the chambered pipework can be used to eliminate mufflers completely. (cop caller).
Recently purchased Magnaflows from Corvette Central. A little louder than stock but Wide Open design. You can actually look straight through the muffler. It's probably the best for performance, but I miss the chambered system. FYI. I know this sounds like a lot of exhaust work, but I've owned the car 33 years.
Hope I've helped.

I have a 350 in my '65 with 2 1/2 inch. I got a heck of a good deal from Corvette Central on a complete system for $339. Aluminized pipes with stainless MagnaFlows (they advertised aluminized mufflers w/kit) They fit like a dream. I also used the big stainless Dynomax stainless steel band type clamps for the back as I don't run a spare tire tub. I am very happy with the quality, sound and price and love those clamps. Gotta put my H-Pipe on next.
