Default initial brake line fill

Finally have the chassis just about finished and I'm wondering about the best way to fill the new brake lines and calipers. I would think that filling through the master cylinder and brake pumping would take forever and ther must be a better way,and besides, with the body off' pumping the pedal obviously isn't an option, but hey, I've been wrong numerous times before! I'm planning on using the silicone fluid since it's a brand new system with O-ringed calipers. Any hints? Thanks

What's the hurry? Fill the brake system when it's complete. Bench bleed the master cylinder before you put it on.

If you're impatient, you can hook up the master cylinder to the lines and use a pressure bleeder on it.

Stroking the brake pedal after the system is complete to bleed brakes doesn't take long either.

Mike's advice seems spot-on to me.

When you do start to fill the lines, crack open a bleeder and hook up a tube to a fluid catch can (just as if you are going to bleed the brakes). Then let gravity take over. The lines will fill themselves.
