Help!
Somewhere in the last couple of months, I saw a great video on replacing the dash insert on a 1960 corvette. It was extremely well done with patience and explanation. Now, I cannot find it anywhere.
I have looked at all of the vendors websites and have found good info but not the video I am looking for. Can't find it on youtube either.
Can anyone point me at it?
Thanks
Dave
The trick is getting the two thin top and bottom chrome strips fully seated on the insert without screwing up the thin insert. ALSO - do NOT tighten the chrome grab bar end brackets down too tightly or it kinks up the insert on installation!
I've got a video that but don't know how to get it posted. Computer Challenged. I've got it in a folder and if someone can tell me how I'll give it a whirl.
Thanks guys
I did find the video. Jerry Kohn at Corvette Central. I knew it was there somewhere.
Corvette Central Media.

I followed the directions and it tremendously helped! It came out nice. You really need to make sure to sandblast the housing. Then clean and paint the top and bottom so it goes back together smoothly. It really was not hard just have to take some time.
Good luck! Also, jb weld the top and bottom chrome back in did a good job. I did not have to use any tape or clamps to hold it together.
