I have headman headers and have had good luk with their gasket......I do have to re-tight the header bolts every month or so, I don't think Locktite will work since it get really hot there, there are some specialty bolts with lock washers and sort that suppose to work, but I have no experience with them
Correct! Before the Stage 8 locking bolts were available, I used ARP NASCAR small-hex pre-drilled header bolts and safety-wired them. If you don't use one of those two alternatives, header bolts will ALWAYS loosen up - they're too short to stretch and develop/maintain clamp load in the joint like stock manifold bolts do, then the gaskets fail.
I bought some Stage 8 bolts to use for when I thought the gaskets would blow out, but haven't had a chance to put them on,as the gaskets are still good and the bolts haven't loosened.
The only thing you gotta watch with the RemFlex gaskets is they are soft, it is easy to damage them if you try to force one into place, like you can force a hard std header gasket.
