I replaced my old distributor with a MSD HEI unit. The car seems to start a lot quicker... However the generic spark plug wires I purchased at Canadian Tire are a little tight in a few spots. I suspect this is because they were not designed to clear 1950's-60's Chevy ram horn exhausts...
I need a set of wires that are a little longer...
Can anyone recommend a set of MSD or other plug wires that would work with a MSD HEI and give ample clearance with the ram horns?
I have used a set from a mid 70' olds mobile in the past they have straight boots which clear the rams horn and route over the top. Angled boots are meant to route across the side of the block to the back of the motor and up to the cap. Or you can buy a MSD set and make up your own, its really not that difficult, about a 2 on a scale of 10, and then you can get them exacly how you want them to look or fit
