Default Moog ball-joint problem

The new, made in the USA, upper ball joints for my C2 present a problem: the three attaching bolts are slightly too "wide" for the holes in the control arms. I've cleaned the paint out of the holes, but the problem persists. Is this an indication that there is a problem with Moog, or do I simply enlarge the holes ever-so-little, or should I look for a smaller- diameter bolt of equal strength? As usual, the wisdom of the Forum will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

If that were mine, I'd just pick up my drill and enlarge the holes to accept the larger bolts.

It's not just MOOG. Every replacement joint comes with bolts that are ever so slightly larger than the original rivets were. You can drill or ream out the holes to accept the bolts. All they are doing is locating the joint in place.

Yep, I just drilled mine out an hour ago. Originally they were riveted in place and I think the rivets were a slightly smaller diameter.

I just did my 66 using Moog joints. The instructions said to use a 21/64 drill bit.

Thanks for the help, Guys. My ball joints were original so I, too, drilled out rivets. I will enlarge the holes just a bit (pun intended).
