I'm considering replacing the vinyl seat covers and the carpeting in my 65' convertible. There are a number of vendors selling these items. Is there any difference in the quality of the items, or do they all come from the same manufacturer? Any input would be appreciated.

I just used ACC carpet in my Bright Blue 65'. The carpet was more like dull blue, and it is of poor quality. I WOULD NOT BUY ACC CARPET! I may rip it out and use Al Knoch or try Mid America's carpet.
I used Corvette America for my Bright Blue 66 and I'm pleased with the product and match. I ordered my first set from AK, but the color match wasn't even close, suggest that you get color samples before ordering.

Who's Carpet does Corvette America use? Do they make their own, or is it ACC? I heard good things about ACC, but the blue is too dull, the carpet is too thin (can see thru to backing material in spots, the blower motor carpet section is too big, poor fitment of the sections that go over the rear wheel wells). I've heard good and bad about Al knoch..but mostly good. Mid America makes their own, and I've heard Trim parts just started making their own.

I don't know if this is true, but I had a guy at a upholstery shop tell me that ACC has really gone down hill and he doesn't use them anymore. He told me that some years ago, many of their top executives died in a airplane crash, and their product has gone down hill ever since. My brother ordered 2 sets of carpet from them for his 65 Cyclone and had to send them both back because of poor fit.

Well I'm overall so dissapointed with the ACC carpet, I'm thinking of ripping it out and using a different manufacturuer. It looks ok, however it is much duller in color than the carpet I took out, and did not realize it until I was finished and installed the seats and other interior trim parts. The carpet does not match the seats or quarter trim panels..you can really see how boring the color of the carpet is.
