This car has a serial number only 740 from mine. It has a D-13 build date. Mine has a D-5 build date. Yet the body number is S2644 which is 1229 more than my car. Can this be????? If so, how??? Am I missing something here???

There will be four separate body number sequences. AOS coupe and convertible and St. Louis coupe and convertible. So, what sequence is it?

Would that give the seperation on the body number based on whether it was a convertible or coupe? I guess that is why I was asking. I don't think it is incorrect. I was just trying to figure out how the numbering sequence went.

Yes, Considering that something like half the total bodies were St. Louis that serial number range would have about 2500+- convertible bodies to 1500+- coupe bodies for each body type.

Sorry, I probably came off a little harsh. :o But with the fraud out there (see locked threads) this is not one.

More verts were made than coupes and each had their own body numbers.
