Does dynamat come pre-cut?? Has anyone ever made patterns of the dynamat you installed. I am installing a different product and would be willing to pay for any patterns. Dave

I used butcher paper to make patterns inside the bare body and used a Sharpie to transfer those patterns to the Dynamat, cut on the lines, and installed it. Get a narrow wallpaper seam roller to work it into the corners and depressions, and a heat gun also helps a lot to contour it.
i didn't find it particularly difficult to install the insulation in my 62. use the full sheets for the large ares and butt them up and form to fit. fill in the small places with pieces, then tape over all seams,

The same way you would install bulk carpet. Work slow and as the saying goes, "measure twice, cut once." You can put the next piece over the installed and then cut along the ridge the edge of the installed piece makes on the one you are working with a good sharp knife. May sound confusing, but lay a piece down and put another on top and you will see what I mean. Work it slow and carefully and you won't even have much of a seam.

if i may....i use a golf ball and a baseball to get it tight in corners and where the floor rolls.....just run it around whilst pressing the ball with your hand.....good luck....
hushmat, got it from Amazon at a VERY good price...
i chose the hushmat because someone had done a home-study (used a stove and a baking sheet and compared the temp on the stove side with the mat face side using an infrared gun) of several different products and the hushmat had the best results.

Here's a picture from my install in my 64 Coupe to give you an idea of what it will look like in your car.
As others have said, small wall paper roller and a golf ball work well. In addition, I used a larger laminate roller over the areas I could reach to get it real flat around the rear wheel wells in my Coupe. I also used the jute and heavy Al Knock's carpet. It is very quiet now. Even with the sidepipes, I can get any combo of exhaust sound, tunes, or a pleasant mix of both without pushing the radio volume too high. Pilot Dan

That's what I did. Butcher paper, sharpie, exacto knife, scissors, and a "J" roller. Then I used foil duct tape to cover seams.

I see that Amazon has several varieties and quantities of hushmat. Which one did you get-1/16"? How many sheets did it take (they sell 4, 10, 20,etc.) Mine is a '57 so I will probably need the same amt as you did. Thanks
