Default Block 3/8 thread pipe plugs torque Spec's

Does anyone know if there is a torque specification for installing the 3/8 inch pipe thread plugs on both sides of the bottom of the engine block?
I plan to use pipe thread sealer and install the plugs snug, but was wondering how tight I can go in ft lbs.

Thanks

Fortunately we take better care with our Corvettes.

Thanks everyone for the input.

I did not think there would be a torque spec for pipe plugs. Ask and you shall receive. I never saw a plumber with a torque wrench. I guess we get a little too **** when we do our own work.

I did not know I was in parts section when I 1st posted , didn't see the post and re posted in the general section. Another senior moment.

To answer your question, I think your "plan" will work fine. I never install those plugs tight as sometimes, they can be a real b...h to remove. I've never seen one come loose, either.

"Snug" should be fine.

I normally install with a 6-point socket and 3/8 drive ratchet. Just tighten up normally.

Use a bit of teflon-paste as a sealer and to aid in disassembly later.

Disassembly normally takes my 1/2 drive breaker bar and a 6-point impact socket.
