Ball Joint Rivets
I've got some new Upper and Lower Ball Joints. They came with the average person hardware (bolts & nuts) but they also came with rivets if one desires to make it look 'original'.
Just for schnicks and giggles, what does the Rivet Gun look like that puts these bad boys in place? I assume it's hydraulic driven, based on the thickness of the rivets.....
Can anyone post a picture, or is this something that only a specialty shop can accomplish?

Dave,
We are, but I had received my new parts, just before we left yesterday, so......I was figuring I'd use the nuts & bolts supplied, but was simply curious as to how in the heck one would/could do these rivets.....
David, many of us have purchased and used the bolt kits that have the one end that looks like the head of a rivet.
Good luck,
Here is an example: http://www.bairs.com/page385.asp

Yup, it was hydraulic, like the one in the photo below; you can't do them properly at home without a BIG press or riveter (which is why the replacements come with bolts and nuts).

Thanks John, sort of what I was imagining.

Good luck,
How do these tighten down with out something to grab/wrench on the top side? Thanks for the website.

Watch for an upcoming article in the "Corvette Restorer" John. I hope to change the "can't do this at home" mindset.
