Where did you purchase that Borgeson unit from? Im looking to do a P/S conversion on my 66. Did they provide everything you needed for the conversion?
Do you have a web address?

Thanks

Glen,
I purchased it from Jegs (www.jegs.com), although now when I look online, it is about $100 more than when I bought about a month ago. If you do a search on part# 999016, that is the Borgeson part#. I would check all the major suppliers to see who is cheapest. The kit includes everything except for the crank pulley. Also, the ps pump pulley they supplied did not work, as it hit the front of the frame. So, I had to purchase those 2 pulleys, as I only had a single pulley on my harmonic balancer.

I had problems with the original box that came with the kit, see my previous posts. I sent it back to Borgeson, and Gil at Borgeson was very good about it, sent me out a replacement last week. I just installed it on Friday. Went for a drive on Saturday, and WOW, very very nice drive. What a difference. I would definitely recommend this upgrade, very happy with it.

You will need to buy a pitman arm puller if you don't have one, plus a large 1 5/16 socket to fit the pitman arm nut. Everything was pretty straight forward. I am very far from a mechanic, and didn't find it too hard.

One more thing, I did change out my steering wheel to a cheapie 14" Grant ($100), which I think looks pretty good.

Gary,
Glad to hear the new box worked out okay. What engine combo do you have? I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel when it comes to pulleys so figured I would see what you ordered. I have a non ac 327-300.

Hey Don

Yes, that is exactly my setup. I assume you just have a single pulley on the crank now? Here is a picture of my setup with the pulleys

Thanks for the info Gary. Ill check it out. I think I may already have the pulleys in my basement someplace. Just bought my 66 after selling my 74 I had for 34 years. Looking to do some steering upgrades.

Your steering wheel looks great!
