don't get me wrong I love the Stones music and they put on a great show in there 60's but what they have done in there 40+ years at making music the Beatles did it in less then 10 short years. and the other artists mentioned had a couple of good songs but what else did they do and were are they now. The Beatles for ever
Comparing the two is like comparing a 65 Mustang (Stones) to a 65 Corvette (Beatles).
The guy is the most balanced of the 4. When Ringo was asked recently about his speaking in support of the British troops at war. He said, "you can support the boys and still preach peace and love"
The guys a class act! Sings absolutely aweful!!But he has filled his spot well.
He was hired because the band needed a personality. He was a celebrity even before the Beatles. I am done lets talk Vettes.
I took my 63 out for a spin this morning... just missed the rain!
I can't believe Ringo is 70 years old!
I think the real gentleman of the Beatles was George Harrison... he had a home on Maui several years before his death.
The first time I saw him I didn't recognize him at first. I was walking out of a small country store close to the town of Hana where he lived. I noticed a man sitting in a white jeep and I thought he wanted to ask a question. I stopped by the driver's door just as he was turning his head toward the window... he jumped back. We both laughed after I told him why I stopped. I saw him again at a Barnes and Noble bookstore and he was very polite and friendly.
Went to a Ringo Starr concert last nite at the Chastain Amphithearter in Atlanta. Man it was great. Also Gregg Bissonette Rick Derringer Edgar winter Wally Palmar Richard Page and Gary Wright was there. I wanted to get out the Vette and go riding. Lots of Oldies...
Is anyone heard if Johhy Winter "is still alive and well"?
Back in the day, Johnny Winters was one of my musical heroes. I hope he is ok.
It seems Ringo is the only one with any sense. MaCartney lost it ages ago, if he ever had it (but what a great group they were). Why is Ringo the only one not Sir. If the Queen hates him, he must be doing something right.
To make it legal, I added the exhaust crossover on my low hp 61
(I blocked off the manifold heat riser), the sound is back and a little kick in power for good measure.
McArtney lost it ages ago?
I can only assume you haven't seen him. He is absolutely GREAT in concert and in a 3 hour show he can't come close to doing all of his great songs. He sounds great, communicates and connects with the audience between songs, and has kids from 10 years to adults 70 years old and every one in between rockin'.
I have 4 kids from 18 to 26 and all of them have the complete works of the Beatles, McArtney, Zeplin, Doors, Hendrix, Stones and many more on their iPods and Zunes. All were directly influenced by McArtney and the Beatles.
I just couldn't shut up. Now that I vented, I feel better, I have to and appologize for my and want to shut up.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!!
You obviously missed the REAL car music. How about Ronnie and the
Daytonas, Jan and Dean, the Beach Boys, Wilson Pickett (Mustang Sally), Duane Eddy, The Ventures, oh yeah!!
Just what is a Beatle??
I must say and the Beatles simply killed Rock 'N Roll.
Lets face it guy's, we were lucky enough to live during the zenith of great music. You could turn on the radio, and hear the Beatles, Elvis, the Stones, Beach Boys, Temptations, Johnny Rivers, and the Four Seasons all in a row. Much like the muscle car era itself, music like that will never happen again.
With the exception of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album the Beatles produced nothing of importance or entertainment. Sir Paul is a
I will certainly agree about Sgt. Peppers.....terrific album, but I think you would have to include Abbey Road right up there with the Sgt. It actually outsold Sgt. Peppers buy a million copies in the U.S.
I saw the "All Starr Band" at Milwaukee's Summerfest the year Entwistle and Felix Cavaleri were part of the group along with Ringo's son on drums. My only complaint was Ringo yelling "what's my name?" about every 20 minutes or so.

Chill out, not what I meant. I concur he was, is one of the best musicians/song writers ever! Just as I think Jane Fonda is a great actress, and Sean Penn is a very good actor...you see where I was going?
