Excellent pics. I'm at this stage myself on my 65 FI Coupe, should have the engine back from the shop early next week so this was good timing for me as well. Hope to get my 4 speed mated and the engine/tranny dropped in before paint goes on in about 2 weeks. Getting closer by the day!
Can you imagine changing out these wires with the engine in the car!
Great reference pics by the way.
Hope to be at that stage some time soon myself.
Thats why I don't have any of the spark plug shielding on my '65 coupe, only the distributor piece and the 2 pieces that go down vertically!!! The rest is enogh to drive you CRAZY!!!!!
Sorry, but those were not my pictures. I only made the comment that I only run my dist. cover and the two vertical wire coverings. Anything more is just WAY TOO MUCH for me to dick around with. I have used exhaust manifold paints but without much success once the engine is fired up and it gets up to operating temp.

They are ceramic coated. Had them done over 5 years ago and that's how they look today.
I purchased all the wire supports, but I'm having slight difficulty installing them.
Specifically, I can't get these bolts out. They are really tight and I don't want to break them or Eff up the threads. i've hit them with PB blast over the past 2 days...
Any other suggestions? They look important.
Sorry for the long delay in response. I used a local company here in Camarillo, CA. They are no longer around but certain you can get ceramic coating pretty much anywhere.

I'd think those should only be torqued to about 35 lb-ft. They go into the head and likely have thread sealer or locktite on them.
Try using a 6 point socket on it to loosen it, if you haven't already. It will minimize the chances of rounding the head.
