...to park this beauty in a Walmart parking lot during the holiday shopping season!

I almost felt a responsibility to stand guard until he got back. I wonder if he is a forum member?! What a beauty!

Took the '65 to Home Depot on Black Friday and parked in the same type of spot. At least it was warm in FL ... it was in the 40's when I took mine out here in Chicago! I did get some strange looks, but the best was a guy in a little 2 seat Mecedes convertible - top down and a Christmas tree in the passenger seat. He pulled up next to me and said "I thought I was crazy"!

For years now I have been issuing an annual warning to family members at Thanksgiving. I remind them that in recognition of the holiday season and all that it means to mankind, their lives aren't worth 2 cents is a typical shopping center parking lot between Thanksgiving and Christmas. People getting ready to celebrate the holidays will just as soon run you over as look at you if it means they can get a better parking spot. ... I wouldn't drive my Corvette through a shopping center parking lot at this time of year, much less leave it parked there.

Nice spot as long as someone doesn't run a shopping cart into it. He was probably buying oil. I get mine at Wally World but I drive the pickup truck instead.

I agree! I was about to take my C5 out top down for a drive, however remembered I had to stop at Walmart to pick up some stuff and decided to take my DD when I snapped these pics. I don't know what it is about parking lots where people completely forget the basic rules of the road.

Case in point, right after I snapped these pics, I got in my car and was driving out. As you can see from the pics, this is a one-way only aisle with a big white arrow pointing the direction. As I was pulling out of the aisle, right behind this Corvette, some lady was trying to pull her minivan IN to the aisle.

Perhaps if she wasn't on her cell phone at the time she might have saw the arrow and all the cars pointed in the opposite direction. People behind her, were blowing their horns with typical holiday patience as she had to put her van in reverse, back up and then drive to the next "IN" aisle.

Driving your car to a local supermarket takes guts, huh? Nice 67 though.

Driving it? No. Parking it there for an extended period. Yes! There were at least 6 shopping carts hovering the area where he parked it as the hurried customers perform the 20-foot cart shot into the cart bin.

Last week, took the 67 up to Winn Dixie Supermarket for a case of adult beverages. Parked WAY out. 4 open spots, I took 1 & 1/2 spots. Returned and some AH is RIGHT next to my drivers door. It ain't easy getting in from the pass side. Bill

When I first saw the pics, that was the first thought I had to, was that a flying cart might end up a little too close.

That seems to happen to me on a regular basis...usually its an SUV with some overweight hussy trying to ****** her 8 kids out of the car right beside me. Thoughtless...

I agree, it's no big deal. My original post was just commenting that he's got a lot of guts parking such a great, beautiful car in the abyss that we call Walmart Parking Lots...

Had that happen to me one time so my buddy with his tow truck just happened to be near. He did me the honor of towing that car. Never asked where he took it or otherwise. I waited till the lady came out and was LMAO when I saw her face. I told her the car was towed for bad parking!

I DRIVE my 67 all over. It's the PARKING that stresses me out.

I never leave mine where I cannot see it.

gotta admire the guy for driving and enjoying his car, I take my 03ZO6 and just park out in boonies and walk, generally safe but you never know, but not to is to not enjoy my car...and yes I have a daily driver but sometimes the vette calls me.
