64' Rolling Chassis?
Ok, I am trying to correctly I.D. my mid-year rolling chassis. I recently purchased a rolling chassis and was told it was a 64' but recently read somewhere that they did not introduce the gussets in front of the rear kickup until 64. This is why I am confused because my frame does not have the gussets... does this make it a 63'? How can I correctly I.D. my midyear frame? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I don't believe any gussets appeared near the seat belt anchors until 1965, along with the indentations in the back rails to clear the rear disc brake calipers and the dent in the front cross member for the big block damper. Sounds like it could still be a 64. The 63 frame had two additional inner body mounts near the transmission tunnel at the differential cross member. These were dropped after 63. Also the 63 body mount brackets were slightly higher than those in later years because they didn't use any rubber body cushions. But without comparing them side by side or having a measurement it's probably hard to tell them apart.

Late 64 had the gussets the early did not, also the 63 frame had 2 holes in the driver side center crossmember for the E brake cables, 64 had one hole with a bracket in the center for the E brake leaver.
