NOS big block sidepipe question ?
just came across a set of NOS in the box big block sidepipes does anyone have any Idea of the value or what they are going for these days ? my buddy bought these years ago and hes thinking about letting them go ...thanks in advance...Tom

I sold a pair of NOS 65-67 big block pipes only, no covers, rockers, hardware, etc. at Corvette Carlisle 2 years ago for $1,500. I was in them right and felt that was fair, if not low. First person that looked at them, bought them.
NOS covers should be worth at least $2,000, even more to the right person. The upper rocker moldings in NOS can bring $500-600 for a pair. I always figure NOS parts for twice repro, and the repro covers list for 900-1,600 a pair, depending on the manufacturer. How old are the covers? Covers made more recently, have marks at the bends, from the molds getting old and worn. Older covers without these marks, could be very desirable.
The carb is another story, the numbers, date, usage, etc. effects the value. A used 340HP carb is can be worth more than a NOS 250HP carb. WCFB's and AFB's missing the choke assembly, are worth a lot less than one with it.
