Trim Code: 426A?
The "A" suffix was used as what they call the ECL code, or "exception code letters", that is options that came with the car.
Example, with power windows, without hard top. St. Louis cars have two letter codes (AA, AD,AK etc) and each has its on meaning as what cam with the car and what did not. It told the workers to add power windows for instance, and not a hard top.
Single "A" code is usually on A.O. Smith body cars (Need the body number to confirm that) and means no headrest, no shouler belts, no 36 gallon gas tank.
and, the car is a coupe.
If you would advise all of the tag data, and the year of the car, I could give you a better answer.

They do get changed over the course of about 60 years. That looks like it might be worthy of discussion in its own thread.
